Flanges
A flange is a forged or cast component used to connect pipes, valves, pumps, and other equipment in piping systems. Flanges allow easy assembly, inspection, maintenance, and disassembly.
Common Types
- Weld Neck Flange (WN) – Used for high-pressure and high-temperature services.
- Slip-On Flange (SO) – Slides over the pipe and is welded.
- Blind Flange (BL) – Used to close the end of a piping system.
- Socket Weld Flange (SW) – Used for small-bore, high-pressure piping.
- Threaded Flange – Connected without welding.
- Lap Joint Flange (LJ) – Used with stub ends for easy alignment.
Materials
- Carbon Steel
